After breakfast, embark on a fully guided tour of Istanbul's iconic landmarks:
Your first stop is Topkapi Palace, a grand and historically significant residence that served as the main administrative center of the Ottoman sultans for nearly 400 years. Renowned for its exquisite architecture, opulent courtyards, and intricate tilework, the palace houses invaluable collections of artifacts, including the Prophet Muhammad's cloak and sword.
Next, visit The Hagia Sophia, a masterpiece of both Byzantine and Ottoman architecture, celebrated for its immense beauty and architectural brilliance that has captivated visitors for centuries.
Afterward, explore The Blue Mosque (Sultan Ahmed Mosque), known for its stunning blue İznik tilework, six elegant minarets, and majestic central dome. This architectural wonder harmoniously blends Ottoman and Byzantine elements.
Continue to The Hippodrome of Istanbul (Sultanahmet Square), which once served as the social and sporting center of Constantinople. Here, you'll find notable monuments like the Obelisk of Theodosius and the Serpent Column.
Next, head to the famous Grand Bazaar, one of the largest and oldest covered markets in the world. DAY 03: ISTANBUL JEWELS TOUR (B, L)
After breakfast, begin the tour to visit Dolmabahce Palace, a magnificent structure blending various European architectural styles, built between 1843 and 1856 by the court architect Karabet Balyan for Sultan Abdulmecid. This three-storied palace, with 285 rooms and 43 halls, is known for its original decorations, furniture, and luxurious silk carpets and curtains. It surpasses all other palaces in the world in wealth and grandeur.
Next, you will visit the Rüstem Pasha Mosque, an exceptional work of Master Architect Sinan, known for its lavishly tiled interior. The İznik tiles, adorned with elegant floral designs, make this mosque unique among Sinan’s many creations.
Following the mosque visit, enjoy some shopping time at the Spice Market (Egyptian Bazaar), a bustling and aromatic marketplace filled with spices, herbs, sweets, and other exotic goods. Located in the Eminönü quarter of Fatih, it is one of the largest and most famous covered bazaars in Istanbul.
To end the day, you’ll join a boat trip on the Bosphorus, cruising between Europe and Asia while admiring the Dolmabahçe and Beylerbeyi Palaces, along with wooden villas and historic mansions. From the boat, you will also have a view of the Rumeli Fortress (no interior visit), built to defend the city during Mehmet the Conqueror's siege in 1453.
