DETAILED ITINERARY |
DAY 01: ARRIVE PADANG > BUKITTINGGI (L, D)

Upon arrival at Minangkabau International Airport (PDG), meet and greet with our tour representative and depart to Bukittinggi (2hrs) with some stops along the way. |
• |
Your first stop is Anai Valley Waterfall, a serene spot to enjoy the natural beauty of the region. |
• |
Next, head to the Minangkabau Information and Documentation Center to gain insights into the local culture and history. |
• |
Lunch will be at a local restaurant, offering you a taste of authentic Minangkabau cuisine. |
• |
In the afternoon, explore Pandai Sikek village, renowned for its exquisite hand weaving and intricate woodcarving. |
• |
Stop at Bika Talago for a typical local snack and embroidery shops, where you can purchase beautiful handmade items. |
• |
Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight stay at the hotel in Bukittinggi. |

DAY 02: BUKITTINGI > HAMKA MUSEUM > LAKE MANINJAU TOUR (B, L, D)

After breakfast at the hotel, embark on a cultural journey to the Hamka Museum. En route, enjoy a scenic drive through the iconic Kelok 44, a winding road offering stunning vistas. |
• |
Next, head to Lawang Park to marvel at the breathtaking panoramic beauty of Lake Maninjau from an elevation of approximately 1,000 meters above sea level. Experience traditional craftsmanship at a sugar cane milling site that uses buffalo for milling. |
• |
After lunch, proceed to Sianok Canyon, a stunning steep valley with a picturesque green rice fields. Additionally, there is a nice place to explore called the Japanese Tunnel, a protection tunnel built by the Japanese Occupying Army around 1942 for defense purposes (local guide tips required to enter the tunnel). |

Spend the afternoon exploring the Clock Tower and shopping at Pasar Atas in Bukittinggi. |

Dinner at a restaurant and overnight stay at the hotel in Bukittinggi. |

DAY 03: BUKITTINGI > HARAU VALLEY > KELOK 9 > BATUSANGKAR (B, L, D)

After breakfast, check-out and start exploring the day at Harau Valley which is famous for its beautiful Nature and Waterfalls where lush green ricefields are hemmed in between huge granite cliffs. |
• |
Next is Kelok 9, the only fly over outside the city in Indonesia and located in the Protected Forest. |
• |
After lunch proceed to Batu Sangkar and enroute stop at Kiniko Coffee Milling to enjoy traditionally brewed coffee with Instagrammable spots. |
• |
Next stop is Pagaruyung King’s Palace. The palace has three stories with 72 pillars and the typical Rumah Gadang gonjong, a horn-like curved roof made from 26 tons of black ijuk aren palm fibers. |

Dinner at a restaurant and overnight stay at the hotel in Batu Sangkar. |

DAY 04: BATUSANGKAR > PARIANGAN > SINGKARAK LAKE > TEA PLANTATION > PADANG (B, L, D)

Breakfast and check-out hotel before continuing the tour to Pariangan, one of the beautiful village in the world renowned for stunning views. |
• |
Thereafter proceed to Lake Singkarak, an enormous crater lake set within a dramatic volcanic landscape, the widest lake in Sumatra and the second biggest lake on the island, after Lake Toba. |
• |
Post lunch, visit the Tea Plantation Park in Alahan Panjang area where the air feels so refreshing as the location is on a highland and the environment is quite peaceful due to a low number of passing vehicles. |
• |
The drive to Padang will take you past the breathtaking panoramas through Sitinjau Laut Road. (Due to the mountainous geography of Sumatra, there are routes that pass along steep hillsides. The Sitinjau Laut route has a gradient of up to 45 degrees.) |

DAY 05: AIR MANIS BEACH > PADANG CITY TOUR > DEPARTURE (B)

After breakfast, check-out hotel and the guide will take you on your final tour. |

The first stop is Air Manis Beach, famous for the legend of Malin Kundang, with a scenic drive passing by the iconic Siti Nurbaya Bridge. Continue with a Padang city tour, where you'll pass by historic sites such as the Old Padang Harbor, Old Padang Town, Muara Padang Beach, and the impressive West Sumatra Grand Mosque. |
