DAY 02: THIMPHU VALLEY – HERITAGE & LIVING TRADITIONS (Breakfast/Dinner)

Built in 1974 in honor of the Third King, Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, this revered stupa is a place of daily worship for locals, who gather here to pray and circumambulate, creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere.

➤ Later, begin your scenic drive to Paro. En route, stop at the historic Simtokha Dzong, built in 1627 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal. As the oldest dzong in the country, it holds great historical and spiritual significance and showcases traditional Bhutanese architecture.
