DAY 02: TRAVEL TO POKHARA (200KM / APPROX. 7HRS) | BOATRIDE IN PHEWA LAKE (B, L, D)
After breakfast depart for Pokhara Valley which is One of the Most Picturesque spot of Nepal. The beauty of Pokhara is enhanced by its lovely lakes, which have their source in the glacial region of the Annapurna range of the Himalayas. Pokhara is also the only place in the world to provide dramatic views in a sub-tropical setting. Machapuchre Mountain, for example, is only 28km from Phewa Lake and not a single mountain range intervenes between the two. As The gateway to the Himalayas, Pokhara, with snow-capped mountain views is also famous for boating, trekking, rafting and extreme sports like rafting, canoeing and bungee jumping.
Enroute stop for lunch at a highway restaurant. Upon arrival check into hotel of your choice.
Later proceed for a Boat ride on the lake. Though perfectly picturesque to walk or cycle around, nothing quite compares to a Scenic Boat Ride on the lake against Snow Capped Mountains, undoubtedly the best way to fully appreciate its natural beauty. Whilst the ‘Lakeside’ shores to the east are built up with cafés and hotels, your ride on a traditionally painted wooden rowboat will head west. Here, Lakeside’s houses and restaurants are replaced by the untouched, thick Rani Ban Forest, Mirror-like Waters and the Annapurna Mountains in the background. The boat trip will take you to Tal Barahi Temple, an important religious monument located on an island at the centre of the lake. You will also enjoy breath-taking views of mount Machhapuchhre and other mountain peaks of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges.
Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.

This is one of the 3 Durbar Squares in Kathmandu, all of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Thereafter visit the house of the Living Goddess of Nepal. The Kumari is the only living goddess worshiped by both Hindus and Buddhists. The literal meaning of Kumari is Virgin. The Kumaris are young pre-pubescent girls who receive the power of Goddess Kali and Taleju.

Muslims from Kashmir entered Nepal for trade during the time of king Ratna Malla and the mosque was built in the time of king Pratap Malla. The mosque has undergone multiple renovations. More Kashmiri people came to Kathmandu due to violence in Kashmire. The current mosque was built in the times of king Prithvi Narayan Shah after the Muslims helped him to spy on Malla rulers.
