DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 01: ARRIVE MUMBAI
You will be met and assisted upon arrival by our representative with a Traditional Welcome. After a short briefing you will be transferred to your hotel of choice for overnight stay.
DAY 02: TRAVEL AND EXPLORE NASHIK BEFORE ARRIVING IN SHIRDI (B)
After an early breakfast at your hotel proceed to Shirdi via Nashik.
Enroute you have the option to to a Nashik tour covering Trimbakeshwar Temple (one of the 12 Jyotirlingas), Naroshankar Temple, Sundernarayan Temple, Kalaram Temple and the Famous Sita Gufaa which is believed to be the place where Sita worshipped Lord Shiva during their exile. The cave, containing the idols of Lord Ram, Sita and Lakshmana, can be accessible only through the help of a narrow staircase. The ancient Shivlinga still exists in the cave and is visited by large number of devotees every day. Devotees believed to be the place where Ravana, the demon king of Lanka, abducted Sita. Outside the cave is a large grove of 5 very old Banyan trees, after which the area is named, Panchavati means 'a garden of five banyan trees'. These trees are said to have been there during the exile of Lord Rama. There is a place called Tapovan where Lakshmana, the brother of Rama, cut off the nose of Surpanakha, the sister of Ravana. The entire Aranya Kanda of Ramayana is set in Panchavati.
Thereafter travel to Shirdi. Upon arrival check into hotel.
DAY 03: EXPLORE SHIRDI + SHANI SHINGNAPUR (B)
After breakfast proceed on a Discovery Tour of Shirdi. Apart from the famous Sai Baba Temple, there are several other attractions and places to visit in and around Shirdi for sightseeing. Here are some notable ones:
Sai Baba Temple – The Sai Baba Temple in Shirdi is the main attraction, drawing millions of devotees from all over the world. The temple complex also includes the Samadhi Mandir, where Sai Baba’s mortal remains are interred.
Dwarkamai – Dwarkamai is the mosque where Sai Baba spent a significant part of his life. It is a place of great significance for devotees and is located near the Sai Baba Temple.
Chavadi – Chavadi is a small building where Sai Baba used to spend alternate nights. Pilgrims can see a portrait of Sai Baba and a wooden bedstead here, which is believed to be used by him.
Khandoba Temple – Dedicated to Lord Khandoba, this temple is situated near the Sai Baba Temple. Devotees often visit this temple along with the Sai Baba Temple.
Lendi Baug – Lendi Baug is a beautiful garden that Sai Baba used to visit daily. It has a neem tree and a deep well, both of which are associated with Sai Baba’s life.
Dixit Wada Museum – Located in the proximity of the Sai Baba Temple, this museum exhibits items related to Sai Baba’s life, including his cooking utensils, robes, and footwear.
Sai Heritage Village It’s a theme park near Shirdi that provides insights into the lifestyle and culture prevalent during the time of Sai Baba. The village setting and exhibits offer a glimpse into historical India.
Jangli Maharaj Ashram – Situated near Shirdi, this ashram is dedicated to Jangli Maharaj, a saint. It’s a serene place for meditation and spiritual seekers.
Shani Shingnapur – Although located a bit away from Shirdi, Shani Shingnapur is famous for its Shani Temple, where Lord Shani is worshipped. It’s a unique village where houses have no doors, and it is believed to be under the protection of Lord Shani.
